With 329 combined years* experience in music creation, acting, directing, producing, writing, promoting and filming; Angela, Emma and Sarah decided to launch The Silver Hammer as a means of developing an answer (for themselves at least) to the question ‘how exciting can things get?’

Though of course each individual has her own particular axe to grind.

Emma wishes to change the world and agitate wildly (re the presiding miasma of ‘friendly fascism’ that masquerades as ‘the third way’) via writing and producing fantastic surreal plays / films / music and radio. Film / Theatre: She has written / directed several short films. She has a feature script ’The Big Bad’ optioned with Afan films and her play ‘Forgotten Things’ has been optioned by Red Ladder Theatre Company. Music: She is in ‘Portable Pony’ a new electro experimental guitar band.

Sarah loves Sarah Kane and Musicals with equal passion and sees the potential for an exciting new genre cross over. She wants to push things to the extreme and is prepared to live with the consequences. Acting: Played Hamlet at the Globe at the age of 17, Marianna de Pineda at Green Room Manchester, Max in Death and Dancing, Westminster Studio Theatre London. Direction: Bash, Priestley Studio Theatre, Romeo and Juliet, 2006 Kala Sangam production.

Angela wants to take The Silver Hammer to the world and bring bits of the world back to The Silver Hammer. She wants to make things happen; things that will make people’s hearts soar. It all means nothing unless something changes. Acting: She has performed in Beowulf, Gilded Balloon and Nativity in Edinburgh. She has played Medea Redux in Bash by Neil Labute. Producer: Romeo and Juliet, Arts Council funded production in conjunction with Kala Sangam of as part of Bradford Festival 2006.

As you can see, The Silver Hammer is a broad church. Diversity is our strength.
